We had the pleasure of discussing Web3 investing with Haseeb Qureshi, the Managing Partner at Dragonfly Capital. Haseeb worked as a software engineer for Airbnb and was a successful Poker player before starting his VC career. Today Dragonfly has invested in many Web3 projects such as Compound Labs, MakerDao, Paradigm, and TRLab.

"If you're not afraid of taking risks, that doesn't mean that you always take risks right; if you take risks when it is rational to do so when the reward for taking that risk is justified, playing against a player who is correctly calibrated in how much risk to take and when to take that risk is the most challenging thing as a poker player, and the same thing is true in investing. The first investment I've made in my career is not writing a check but deciding to pursue Crypto with my career at a time when not many people were doing that right. We enjoyed hearing about his inspiring background, how he got into the space to become an investor, and his insights, learnings, and vision. We also discussed the factors Dragonfly considers when investing in a start-up and the most exciting movements in the market right now.

We also discussed what led Haseeb from pursuing a career at Airbnb to switching and venturing into Investing in the Web3 world and his initial touch points with Crypto and Blockchain.
