February 7, 2022

What an honor it was to have Shayli Harrison on NEWFORUM! Shayli is a Digital Fashion Designer and Co-founder of Mutani. During the interview with Shayli, we discussed her vision for Mutani and her role as a pioneer in the Digital Fashion Crypto Space. We enjoyed hearing all the possibilities and innovation she finds in Web3, her experience, and how it influences Luxury Fashion and the Gaming Industry. Who would have thought that you could smoke weed in the metaverse! Quite hilarious, isn’t it?! Well, this and more happened at the metaverse parties Shayli attended, and she tells us all about it in this episode!

Shayli loves the craft and building real-world items, but when it comes to the narrative, the storytelling, she looks to the digital tools to create that wow factor and have people attach to it more emotionally. And she is right about it! There is only so far you can push the bounds of reality!

“A lot of the time at the academy we were always trying to cover up our models and put them into ridiculous high heels, and it was really painful for them. So we can really spare them when we work in digital. There is definitely pros and cons working both ways but also doing both is valuable”. — Shayli

Fun Fact About Shayli

When she graduated from the Antwerp Academy, she took a break from working in fashion. Shayli started working in a private nature reserve protecting biotopes to restore nature to as close as possible to its original form.
