Kenny Schachter's Successes and Challenges as an NFT Artist in Web3

Kenny Schachter, Veteran dealer, artist, writer, collector, curator, and lecturer discusses his involvement in the art market, his foray into NFTs, and web3 culture in NEWFORUM Episode VI.

We enjoyed listening to Kenny’s incredibly inspiring journey as an artist. Kenny has been judged over the years for not taking the conventional path typically acceptable in the art world to become an artist and he continues to face challenges long this path today. Kenny is a master at taking no for an answer! NewForum admires him for this! We asked Kenny how he does it, and he tells us that he makes a decision every day to use all those setbacks and trolls to fuel him into pushing himself to keep doing what he loves and encourages the younger artist to do the same. Kenny’s passion for creating art helped him overcome challenges he has faced in his personal life and carrier.

NewForum co-host Salimi felt she used “inspiring” too much while describing Kenny. She asked Kenny for a substitute, and he scribbled down ‘hope” and, although he considers himself cynically idealistic, it resonated with him.

Kenny is a successful NFT artist and a role model to young NFT artists. At the height of his carrier, he continues to guide, teach, and mentor several artists new to the space. Kenny is a believer in web3 and discusses its potential in this digital era, his love-hate relationship with social media, and how he uses it to gain value in his world.
